St. Peters offers to pick

up downed branches

A fast-moving storm Thursday caused tree damage in some St. Peters neighborhoods. In response, the city's Solid Waste Department is offering a special bulky pickup service for large branches that came down during the storm.Residents may call 636-477-6600, ext. 410 or ext. 463, to arrange for pickup. Tree debris should be cut into lengths no more than 8 feet and placed curbside for collection at least 3-4 feet from any obstacles.

Regular yard waste collection will be available for smaller waste that fits into yard waste bags, St. Peters' yard waste carts and bundles no more than 3 feet long. The storm damage pickup requires a larger, bulky waste pickup truck, and therefore residents need to schedule that service.

Residents also may haul storm debris to Earth Centre at the end of Ecology Drive, north of I-70.
