Church hosts

picnic Aug. 10

Immaculate Conception Church of Old Monroe will host a parish picnic from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Aug. 10 at the Knights of Columbus picnic grounds, nine miles east of of Highway 40/61 on Highway C. The event will feature a beer garden, a margarita machine, live entertainment, a quilt raffle, children's rides and inflatables, a dunking booth, games, bingo and a country store. Prime beef and chicken dinners will be served in the hall. Carryouts will be available.
