offers free vaccines Crider Health Center will offer the Vaccines for Children program, which is designed to reduce or eliminate vaccine costs as a barrier to childhood vaccinations. The program purchases vaccines from manufacturers at federal contract prices and provides them at no cost to participating public and private health care providers who administer them to children who meet the certain requirements, such as being eligible for or currently enrolled in Medicaid - MoHealthNet (including Health Care USA, Mercy Care Plus and Harmony/Wellcare plans), uninsured, or American Indian or Alaska nativeChildren whose health insurance plan does not cover a particular vaccine are also able to receive vaccines at a federally qualified health center, such as Crider Health Center or a rural health center. Proof of eligibility documents for the program include MoHealthNet insurance card, proof of household income and size for those who are uninsured, or a letter from the participant's insurance plan stating which vaccines are not covered under his or her plan. Every Child By Two is a national campaign in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to educate parents and medical service providers about the critical need for timely immunizations and to foster a systematic way to immunize all of America's children by age 2. Missouri Gov. Matt Blunt has set a statewide goal for 90 percent of all children to be fully immunized by age 2. The collaboration between Crider Health Center and the Vaccine for Children program continues to validate Crider's mission to promote health through community partnerships.
