Job fair scheduled May 2 at SCC
The fair will feature booths from more than 100 businesses and industry employers, including Ameristar Casino, Barnes-Jewish Hospitals and the Chesterfield Police Department.
A complete list of companies scheduled to attend the event is available at www.stchas.edu/events/jobfair.Martha Toebben, SCC career services coordinator and Job Fair 2008 coordinator, said some employers will conduct on-the-spot interviews, so attendees are encouraged to dress professionally with resume in hand.
"Active recruits don't have just one or two positions open, they have a number of them," Toebben said.
Agencies offering assistance in job searches, training and preparation also will be on hand, according to an SCC news release.
The job fair is sponsored by SCC, St. Charles County Missouri Career Center, Missouri Department of Social Services and the Missouri Division of Vocational Rehabilitation.
The event is free and open to the public.
